I had a lovely stay at Salotto Monti, enjoying its charming decor and comfortable rooms. The location is fantastic, right between the Colosseum and Trevi Fountain, making it easy to explore the city. However, I found the breakfast room a bit cramped, which can be uncomfortable during busy times. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this boutique hotel for its warmth and accessibility, and I would gladly return on my next visit to Rome!

Rooms

The rooms were cozy and clean, featuring stylish decor and comfortable beds. I appreciated the quirky styling, which added to the boutique vibe. However, my room had a bit of street noise, which might be an issue for light sleepers.
Service

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, ensuring I felt welcome throughout my stay. They provided great recommendations for local attractions and dining options, enhancing my experience. I did have a bit of confusion getting in initially when the main door was shut, which could be clearer for future guests.

Being in the Monti neighborhood is a major plus—there are authentic restaurants, shops, and some of Rome's most famous sights within easy walking distance. I felt safe exploring the area, although it was a bit quieter at night.

Breakfast was simple but satisfying, with a good selection on offer. The rooftop terrace provided a nice ambiance for morning meals, but I did wish there was a toaster for a bit of added variety.

The hotel has a lovely rooftop terrace and offers free (and helpful) local tours, which were a fantastic bonus. I did face some inconvenience with accessing the hotel after hours, but the friendly service helped mitigate this.

My stay at Salotto Monti was quite enjoyable overall, with standout staff and a lovely atmosphere. The rooftop terrace for breakfast was a gem, adding a nice touch to my mornings. However, I did find the small double room cramped for longer stays, so I opted to upgrade halfway through. Additionally, communication about the hotel location would benefit from more detail since finding it wasn’t straightforward.

I originally booked a small double room, but it felt too cramped for my six-day stay. After chatting with the staff, I upgraded to a superior room which was spacious and comfortable. The decor was charming, but the original room lacked adequate storage.

The staff, especially Federica, Georgia, and Enzo, were incredibly friendly and helpful. They made sure my wife's birthday was celebrated with thoughtful touches in our upgraded room and were responsive to our needs throughout our stay.

Being in the Monti neighborhood was a huge plus. It was super easy to walk to local restaurants and major sites like the Colosseum and Trevi Fountain. However, the hotel’s entrance is kind of hidden, and it took me a bit to find it.

The breakfast was delicious and freshly prepared each morning. Enjoying it on the rooftop terrace with views was definitely a highlight, though I wished there were more variety in options to cater to different tastes.

The historical charm of the hotel is wonderful, but the small size and layout can pose some challenges. The two quaint lifts were a bit slow but functioned well, handling my luggage without much hassle.

I had a great time at Salotto Monti, with its cozy feel and perfect location near Rome’s main sites. The rooftop terrace was a highlight for breakfast, although my apartment was a bit dingy compared to what I had expected from the photos. Overall, I enjoyed the charming decor and helpful staff, but I wish there had been better light and an easier way to find the hotel upon arrival.

My apartment was spacious but looked a bit worn down compared to the website pics. It felt dark since the windows overlooked some pipes, which was a bummer.

Facilities were decent but limited. While everything was generally clean, I did find the kitchenette lacking some essentials like cooking oil, which was slightly inconvenient.

I had a good stay at Salotto Monti, mainly due to the really good service from the staff and the charming atmosphere of the hotel. The location was perfect for exploring central Rome, with easy access to major attractions like the Colosseum and Trevi Fountain. However, I did encounter some noise issues from the street outside and would have preferred a bit more storage in my room. Overall, I would highly recommend it for a cozy and welcoming experience.

Salotto Monti is nestled in the vibrant Monti area, making it easy to walk to restaurants and bars, as well as famous sites. Despite being centrally located, it is still important to manage transportation since there's quite a bit of walking involved.

During my recent stay at Salotto Monti, I appreciated the central location, which allowed me to easily walk to many of Rome's iconic sites like the Colosseum and Trevi Fountain. The staff were exceptionally warm and helpful, enhancing my overall experience. However, I found that the room, while comfortable, showed signs of wear and could benefit from some updates, especially in the bathroom. The breakfast offered a good variety, but more options would have improved the experience.
